Ape Echoes

Moving through territories influenced by crossover-jazz, electronica, noise, hip-hop, prog-rock, funk, and soul, Ape Echoes forms a sonically and emotionally varied palette.

Ape Echoes, formerly known as Ape Machines, is the frankensteinian brainchild of Bombay-based producers and multi-instrumentalists, Nirmit Shah and Sid Shirodkar.

Alternately moving through territories influenced by crossover-jazz, electronica, noise, hip-hop, prog-rock, funk, and soul, Ape Echoes forms a sonically and emotionally varied palette. The producer pair frequently combine traditional acoustic and electronic instrumentation with more raw or experimental elements, weaving together an immersive musical narrative.

After forming in early 2016, the pair was soon joined by Sahil Shah and Harsh Gadhvi. Their debut EP, Ape Machines, was released in August 2017.

“Keep your thoughts positive, because your thoughts become your words. Keep your words positive, because your words become your behaviours. Keep your behaviours positive, because your behaviours become your habits. Keep your habits positive, because your habits become your values. Keep your values positive, because your values become your destiny.” ~Gandhi
