Daisho

Daisho is known for his infrequent yet atypical DJ sets, with selections ranging from the realm of jazz, samba, funk, and disco, to garage, grime, techno and bass.

Daisho is the electronic music alias of Angad Bharaj.

As a part of On the Corner records (Gilles Peterson’s Worldwide Awards Label of the Year), Daisho has had a chance to collaborate with exceptional musicians including the Afro-Latin electronic powerhouse Penya, ace percussionist Magnus P.I., and most recently the Nairobian Benga scene’s figurehead, Makadem along with South African producer Behr.

Currently Daisho has set up base in Bangalore, experimenting with sounds for his debut LP while he hosts a monthly show on Boxout.fm. Daisho is also known for his infrequent yet atypical DJ sets, with selections ranging from the realm of jazz, samba, funk, and disco, to garage, grime, techno, and bass.
