Sid Vashi (Live)

Sid Vashi is a producer, composer and multi-instrumentalist who enjoys listening to R.D Burman and J Dilla simultaneously and harbours a deep love for sample based music.

Sid Vashi is a producer, composer, and multi-instrumentalist from Mumbai, India. After graduating with a degree in neuroscience and philosophy in 2014, Vashi decided to take some time off a career in science to pursue music. The result is Azuma Kazuma a seven-track album chronicling the endeavours of FT-1089, a disgruntled employee of a large, space mining conglomerate situated in the far reaches of the Milky Way galaxy.

With the help of visual artist Johnny Ganta, the world of ‘Azuma Kazuma’ has been brought to life through a marriage of art and technology that continues to develop and evolve. Together, these elements tell a story of fear, love, and the necessity for optimism in a stochastic universe.

Sid Vashi will be presenting a full live show at Magnetic Fields Festival 2017.

“Keep your thoughts positive, because your thoughts become your words. Keep your words positive, because your words become your behaviours. Keep your behaviours positive, because your behaviours become your habits. Keep your habits positive, because your habits become your values. Keep your values positive, because your values become your destiny.” ~Gandhi
