His ability to present 40 years of house Music and dig through the pre-house era has seen him play at top venues across the world.

Unnayanaa aka Prashanth Pallemoni is a DJ and artist based out of Bangalore who specialises in combining South Asian and African influences into electronic music. His ability to present 40 years of house Music and dig through the pre-house era has seen him play at top venues in Berlin, Manchester, Ibiza, and Sri Lanka among many others.

Prashanth has created a niche and successfully established a strong following for Afro-house music in India over the past few years. He spent many years in Manchester UK studying the art of sound engineering and used his time in the studio and outside of it to explore African, Brazilian and jazz music particularly. His current collaboration with Manchester based Irfan Rainy and Ibtisam – an Arabic vocalist with an African American background – ‘Taht Min Aini’ has been played the world around by top DJs including Innervisions head DIXON & Trikk.

Unnayanaa’s earliest release collaborating with Irfan Hussain of Rainy City Music as ‘Os Malandros’ is a tribute to the Brazilian culture he experienced during his time there and placed him on the list of top DJs from South Africa in 2008. His tracks were also part of the ’20 Years Forward Rainy City Music Compilation’, which received a lot of appreciation from top artists around the world.
