Founder of the Lovescene neo-soul collective, and central to the growing alternative soul scene in the UK’s North; Private Joy aka Pops Roberts has soundtracked dancefloors across the globe with collabs FINN, Mera Bhai, and as the winner of the coveted “Furtive 50 of 2022” with ‘dream-team’ collaborator Ruf Dug.

Described as "delicious... tactile and ultra-dreamy", the charismatic vocalist, composer and producer is increasingly known for her chameleon-like yet distinct sound, both sultry seduction, to hard-hitting dancefloor ballads.

Drawing from street-soul, electronic, afrobeat, RnB and broken-beat as well as her semi-classical upbringing, the multi-instrumentalist and vocalist revealed her debut solo EP this summer on the legendary Rhythm Section International along with an incoming storm of dazzling genre-bending collaborations and releases.
