On a radiant quest to instigate a cultural shift in India’s dance music landscape, Stalvart John’s pulsating rhythms are transforming dancefloors into havens of afro, funk, soul, and jazz-infused house and disco—one galvanising beat at a time. As a DJ, producer, radio host, innovator, and founder of Dynamite Disco Club, he has led the modern-day house and disco revolution in India, balancing his roles as entertainer, experimentalist, and purveyor of fresh sounds from behind the decks and in the studio alike.

Stalvart John’s early roots as a trailblazer trace back to Kerala, where he helped carve out the beginnings of a music scene through residencies, frequent sets across the region’s nightlife, and internet radio shows. Relocating to Bangalore in 2014, he soon built an identity grounded in his passion for craft and a stylistically rich approach that centres on the feel-good quality of a house, disco, and adjacent genres.

An ambassador for this style within India, Stalvart John has since spread its glittering, joyous gospel across the country. In 2023, Mixmag Asia entrusted him to take it beyond India’s shores with a tour across South Asian regions including Vietnam, Thailand, and Singapore.
